Max Schillinger

I develop software both professionally and in my free time. Most of my code is written in C, Go, Python and bash/POSIX shell, and I contribute to open source projects whenever I can. My philosophy: keep software simple and avoid unnecessary complexity. I also like a keyboard-driven workflow. My main software stack is Linux, dwm, st, tmux, bash, Neovim and Firefox (+Surfingkeys).

I started my career at Daimler/Mercedes-Benz in 2011, eventually working in System Integration and Testing for Autonomous Driving. In 2022, I moved to Bosch as a software engineer, working on software, developer tools and CI/CD automation for autonomous driving. In 2024, I left Bosch to focus on developing software independently.

Born in 1983, I currently live in the Ludwigsburg area. Outside of software development, I enjoy spending time with my family, having a beer with friends, running, playing tennis and learning new things.
